Safflower yellow is a natural food dye, a dark yellow powder with weak typical flavor. Consists of safflower yellow extract, dextrin. Imparts yellow color to foodstuff. Soluble in diluted alcohol & propylene glycol, insoluble in oils & ethers. Utilized for producing beverages with acids involved - 0, 015-0, 15%, confectionery - 0, 03-0, 15%, frozen products - 0, 075-0, 3%, jelly - 0, 015-0, 3%, bakery & spaghetti (macaroni, noodles) - 0, 02-0, 2%.
